Advocate Wealth is a private advisory firm structured to serve individuals and families with complex financial profiles. The firm was founded by Jonathan Amoia, Managing Director, who brings more than two decades of professional experience in capital markets, private equity, and wealth management. With headquarters in Buffalo and a presence in Rochester, the firm works with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients across the eastern United States.
The practice is organized around integrated advisory services that connect financial planning, investment oversight, and legacy coordination. Advocate Wealth provides strategic financial advice, disciplined portfolio selection and monitoring, tax-aware estate planning, exit and succession advisory, financial coaching, family office services, and next-generation wealth transition guidance. The objective is to deliver clarity and long-term alignment rather than fragmented advice.
Advisory Approach and Client Engagement
Advocate Wealth serves entrepreneurs, multigenerational families, and individuals whose financial decisions often involve concentrated business ownership or significant liquidity events. These circumstances require coordination across investment management, tax planning, and estate structuring.
Exit and succession planning are central components of the firm’s work. Business owners preparing for ownership transfers, recapitalizations, or sales must navigate valuation, tax exposure, and governance considerations. Advocate Wealth provides structured guidance designed to preserve capital and support continuity across generations.
Operating as a fiduciary, the firm places client interests at the center of its advisory process. Investment management is integrated with financial planning, estate coordination, and tax strategies. This cohesive framework ensures that decisions reinforce broader objectives rather than operate independently.
The firm also emphasizes identifying the purpose behind a family’s wealth. Beyond financial returns, Advocate Wealth considers how resources are intended to support long-term priorities, stewardship responsibilities, and generational education. This perspective shapes capital allocation and planning decisions.
Investment Oversight and Strategic Collaboration
Advocate Wealth partners with TritonPoint Partners and Dynasty Financial to enhance its capabilities while maintaining independence. Through this collaboration, the firm benefits from the resources of its $125 billion partner, Dynasty Financial, while preserving fiduciary accountability.
The investment process is grounded in research and disciplined evaluation. Clients gain access to carefully vetted managers across public equities, fixed income, private markets, and alternative strategies. Portfolio construction is tailored to align with liquidity needs, time horizons, and defined risk parameters.
The firm does not operate within a proprietary product structure. Each investment opportunity is assessed through structured due diligence, and ongoing oversight includes performance monitoring and risk assessment. This process is intended to maintain consistency with long-term financial plans.
Investment management is coordinated with comprehensive financial planning. Tax optimization, estate design, retirement projections, and charitable strategies are integrated into a unified advisory structure. This alignment supports long-term effectiveness and continuity.
A Structured Process from Planning to Stewardship
Advocate Wealth follows a defined methodology that guides clients from initial discovery through implementation and ongoing oversight.
Comprehensive Financial Assessment
The advisory relationship begins with an in-depth analysis of assets, liabilities, business holdings, and projected cash flow. Family governance structures and long-term priorities are identified to establish the planning foundation.
Purpose and Legacy Clarification
Clients work with the firm to define the broader intent of their wealth. This clarity informs estate structures, gifting approaches, and generational preparation.
Portfolio Construction and Monitoring
Investment allocations are developed using a disciplined methodology. Asset class exposure is aligned with risk tolerance and expected return objectives. Continuous monitoring supports consistency with the overall plan.
Tax and Estate Coordination
The firm collaborates with attorneys and tax professionals, including a client’s established advisors, when appropriate. Strategies are aligned to enhance efficiency and maintain family cohesion.
Exit and Succession Advisory
For business owners, structured planning addresses ownership transitions, liquidity events, and reinvestment strategies to reduce uncertainty and preserve continuity.
Family Office Services
For families seeking comprehensive oversight, Advocate Wealth provides consolidated reporting, advisor coordination, and governance support to enhance accountability and organization.
